Live now: the public experiment. Coming next: the New Joke Mic and private Joke Workout.

NEW JOKE MIC / LAUNCHING SOON

One joke you trust. Three jokes you’re still figuring out.

Charleston’s new-material stand-up night.

A craft-first room where comedians test work and audiences see comedy being made. Not a greatest-hits set. Not a contest. A place to find out what happens next.

Bring a good joke. Bring a question mark.

Joke-Apalooza’s live test lab for material born in notebooks, prompt packs, and bad decisions.

Brian’s daily writing challenge feeds the room. The room feeds the rewrites.

The One + Three rule.

Each comedian opens with one short proven joke, then tests at least three new jokes, tags, rewrites, act-outs, songs, characters, or experiments.

1 + 3

One proven joke. At least three new experiments.

Launching soon. Venue announcement in progress.

Charleston, South Carolina. Dates and venue details will be announced when confirmed. Join the updates list to hear about the first night; an interest signup is not a confirmed booking or ticket.

Good room. Brave drafts. Clear boundaries.

Follow the One + Three format and the host’s announced time limit. Bring your own material. Respect the audience and other performers. No harassment or personal targeting. Feedback is about the work, not the person; give it when invited.

Filming-consent policy

No one is filmed or clipped without explicit permission. Performers and audience members must opt in before recording or promotional use. Venue-specific arrangements will be shared before the first night.

A few things before you bring a few things.
